Our ceramic collections are designed in our studio in Milan and produced in the Venice area by anancient family tradition factory dating back to 1700. All of our pieces are hand made using traditional plaster molds and hand-finished, therefore each one is slightly different from the other and unique. This collection of 3D dessert plates is inspired by an ancient Venetian tradition dating back to the XVIII century at the Doge’s court in Venice. In fact, during official gala dinners, guests were often delighted with some “table tricks”, such as Trionfo da tavola settings or trompe l’oeil plates. These kinds of plates were decorated with ceramic fruits and vegetables, hyperrealist in shapes and colours. Our Arcimboldo plates are made in one of the small ceramic factories that were working for the Venetian Republic at those days, and are still running nowadays. From their historical archive we chose six original molds and played with colours to give a playful yet very chic interpretation, in line with the style of Stories of Italy.
